I was on the train when I started this series Resident Evil on Netflix, first on my phone, downloading the episodes, then on TV, once I was home. I was in need of something with a thrill, and an adrenaline kick. What often gets to me are strong female leads. Well, Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) is definitely one strong female leader.
As a non gamer perspective, it intrigued me to the point that I really wanna try one of the resident evil games. If you are a gamer, which one is your favourite?
What intrigued me mostly are all the flashbacks. There is a lot of confusion, where is the main character Jade Wesker? What is she doing and why is she alone?
She has a family somewhere, they are on video call. She even has a daughter and a husband. Where are they?
Jade is researching, is she really alone?
Thruth be told, this resident evil series is quite good at confusing the viewer and also at surprising them, step by step.
Where you surprised by what happened or did you already expect it to happen?
If you would like an in depth analyses, then I will make one, if requested, or we will start when, and if a second season of resident evil is coming along…..
For now, I will intrigue and give a general take for the series.
The main character Jade is researching what happened to the world. The world of humans is over, most of them have turned into mindless zombies. Traffickers brought Jane into the UK. Her life is exciting and apocalyptic. First scene is her running away from a hoard of zombies. She was researching what happened with them and how they evolve. Louring the zombies with a bleeding rabbit.
Then, by accident, she is cut herself and all the zombies she attracted in the first place, are now after her. Jade is running for her life, then she manages to escape and pulls the trigger on a fire blast, that kills these zombies.
With this blast she attracts another gigantic zombie creature. An insect so big, like a huge truck.
Scavengers rescue Jade and bring her to a strong hold, which is surrounded by a lot of zombies.
Jade is actually on the wanted list and searched by the umbrella organisation. A really strong pharmaeutical corporation that is partly governing this new world.
Why do they know her?
Flashbacks continue to be part of her story.
Her family background begins to unravel.
She is the daughter of a scientist at the umbrella corporation, Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick). He is involved in creating this new medication against anxiety and depression.
The head of the organisation Evelyn Marcus (Paola Nunez), is a very dedicated and devilish person. She names this new medication Joy, and although all the evidence points towards a virus, the blood virus, when taken too much of it, she still pushes Albert to produce it.
Is it because of her wife, or is she really only power hungry?
At the end you will see what of the both is more truthful.
Jade has a twin called Billie (Siena Agudong). They were both created through surrogate mothers, different embryo, same father. They moved to raccoon city and are not very happy with the move. Billie tries to adapt, but being the most awkward and shy one of both, she is put in a difficult situation adapting to the new school environment.
Her twin sister, Jade, is more outgoing, and tries to stand up for her sister. Their situation becomes more difficult when Billie has the idea to rescue animals that are held at the umbrella facility. There she gets bitten by an infected dog. Albert and Jade help her, especially the dad covers up the incident, so his daughters wouldn’t get in trouble.
As you can imagine the trouble starts exactly now. Their whole life is now in danger, and not only theirs. The whole of humanity is.
What do you think about the evolution of the series and the characters?
Let me know in the comments.

Another thing I have noticed is the fact for many people, poor credit is the results of circumstances past their control. By way of example they may have already been saddled having an illness so that they have high bills going to collections. It might be due to a occupation loss or even the inability to go to work. Sometimes divorce or separation can send the money in an opposite direction. Many thanks sharing your opinions on this web site.
That is so true. thanks for sharing. 🙂
